Some Extra Rainy Day Thoughts

With all of the poling that takes place in America it is easy to fall into wanting to be in the majority or to believe that what the majority believes will carry the day.   Neither of these assumptions is true.  Being true to what you believe is far more important than being in the majority.  A firm faith in the God of the Bible will always carry the day in the end.  We as Christians know how the story ends, (or we should if we are in the Word).

A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader.

It does not take a majority to prevail … but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brush fires of freedom in the minds of men.
