Redneck Retirement Plan

Good Morning Regular Joes;

This morning I wanted to give you an extra free bonus post on the topic of GOLD, (financial preparation for hard times).

There are retirement plans and then  there are RETIREMENT PLANS.  As most of you know the safety of most retirement plans are in jeopardy these days.  Wall Street can be a roller coaster ride, company investment plans are getting destroyed and even Government Bonds are looking shaky.  In these uncertain financial times some retirement plans are beginning to look more attractive.  One of the popular ones among forward-looking redneck investors is the accumulation of iron and steel and other metals.  It is like any retirement plan; the earlier you start the bigger payout at retirement.  You don’t need to start with a lot, just add to it regularly and by the time you want to retire it can be huge.

To start your plan find about 5 or 10 acres in the country, and make sure that there are no covenants on the property.  In fact it helps to pick an area where the neighbors have already started their own savings accounts.  I have a couple of pictures below to steer you in the right direction.

This would be a bad prospective property!

The area on the left is a danger zone!  I can tell you from past experience if you move in here and start a savings plan in the yard, you’ll get to know your neighbors Right Away.  Also the local police officers, building and zoning officials and the city council.

A rural area with homes like this are ideal, not to mention the money you'll save on this type of property!

The home below is the ideal starter home and if it has been allowed to stand for long enough to get into this condition, I guarantee you that the neighbors will not complain about you starting your savings account in the back yard.

Once you find the ideal property then just start your savings program.  When that old beater quits running, just pull it to the backyard and park it.  When the refrigerator or range quits, place them back there too.  In fact you may even find that friends will help donate to your savings account not realizing the value of what they are donating!  With a little time and patience you will find that soon you are on your way to a secure retirement.  When inflation soars, so does the value of your savings account in the back yard.  As long as you pay your property taxes the government can’t seize it like they have gold in the past.  If you want to really get into it copper, brass, aluminum and other metals have even more value per pound.  So if your neighbor needs to replace his wiring or copper plumbing in his house, offer to help and haul away all the waste for a small fee.

If you need to dip into your retirement account at some time; all you need to do is haul some down to the local recycle and salvage company and collect your money!  There are no government penalties on early withdrawal of funds and no paperwork!  Within 10 years you can have a 401K in your back yard that looks like this:

A really good start on yer redneck retirement!

So good luck fellas!  Go out and start your new retirement plan today.

PS. If you want to go the traditional route, I have put some links below.  I think if you spend a little time reading all the options, technical details and Federal and state regulations you’ll agree that my plan is a lot better.
